Empower children to reach their full potential.
Hunger impacts a children’s health, development, and well-being. It increases health risks, delays or stunts development, and makes it difficult to concentrate in school. At It’s 4 the Kids, we have a Million Meal Promise to help fight child hunger. One of the most impactful ways we do this is by packing and decorating giant drums that hold 1,400 servings of food each, and sending them to the kids that need them most.
step-by-step process
How It Works
Multiple times per year, we pack barrels full of food to send to children in need, including multiple orphanages in Haiti and the Honduras.
Purchase Drums and Food
Each Drums of Hope event we purchase multiple drums – up to 100 at a time – and 1,400 servings of food to put into each drum.
Pack and Decorate the Drums
In addition to filling the drums with food and supplies, we also decorate the barrels and include notes of hope and love for the recipients.
Ship the Drums to the Children
Once they are ready, we organize the shipment to be delivered to the children, wherever in the world they may be located.
